In CAB’s IXOR series, thanks to a modular and compact design, the basic control unit can be installed separately from the media unwinding and rewinding assembly, facilitating integration even in very confined or complex machine spaces.
The design of IXOR stems from the need to meet the growing demand for high-speed automation and flexibility in modern packaging processes. The hardware architecture is optimised to ensure maximum label positioning accuracy, even during the acceleration and deceleration phases of the production line.
This makes it the ideal solution for high-performance sectors such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, beverages and food packaging, where millimetre-level precision is a critical requirement for compliance with quality standards.
In terms of operation, the platform benefits from advanced logic management that minimises machine downtime and manual calibration.
Integration with the main communication protocols and the unified user interface allow for the rapid configuration of operating parameters and label formats, offering complete control both on-machine and remotely. Web Speed Performance
The maximum web speed depends on the unwinder and rewinder configuration: 1. Mechanical unwinder and mechanical rewinder: up to 50 m/min
2. Mechanical unwinder + motorized rewinder: up to 75 m/min
3. Motorized unwinder and motorized rewinder: up to 120 m/min (up to 200 m/min on request for special applications)

IXOR includes a complete set of logical and power connections to communicate with line PLCs or factory management systems:

Digital I/O Interface: 17-pin connector (24 V PNP, galvanically isolated) for START, STOP, APPLY, SYNC, END/DIM signals, and machine status.

Analog Interfaces: 0-10 V / 0-24 V inputs for speed and parameter adjustments via external potentiometer or PLC.

Network & Smart Factory Protocols: Native support for Ethernet, WLAN (802.11 b/g/n), MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP.
